Pat Ferland, P.E. (1954-2018) was well loved – serving the Treasure Coast as a Professional Engineer since the 1980’s. He was instrumental with the Treasure Coast Chapter as an active chairman for 30 years. Some of his great achievements with the Florida Engineering Society are listed here:

- 1997-1998 Chapter Treasurer
- 1998-1999 Chapter Vice President
- 2000-2001 Chapter President
- 2005-2006 Chapter State Director
- 2006-2007 Chapter State Director
- 2007-2008 Chapter State Director
- 2016-2017 Treasure Coast Engineer of the Year
He is also served for decades as the local chairmen for:

- Golf Tournament
The Pat Ferland Memorial Scholarship has been established for engineering students to commemorate his lifetime of dedication to the engineering profession.
